Why Is Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) Done?
In order to detect signs of nerve injury, a test is performed. The nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test could be performed to see actual nerve disorders or conditions whereby nerves are affected by mechanical compression injury.
The patient must maintain an average body temperature for the nerve conduction velocity test as the low body temperatures slow down the speed of nerve conduction.
